Did you see those baked bean pizzas that were around for a while a year or 2 ago? I was nearly sick every time I saw them in the freezer at the supermarket.
I too had an awful meal at Sainsbury's Cafe, over microwaved I think! It used to be much better, not sure why it has gone a bit downhill, maybe they should get Jamie Oliver to take control!
To the girl canvassing for Oxfam in Coney Street York:
NO! I do not want to stop and talk to you! When I am walking past you with my head POINTEDLY staring into the shops and not at you, veering away from you as I do so, IT IS JUST NOT ON TO LEAP OUT IN FRONT OF ME SHOUTING "HELLOOO HELLOOO HELLLO!" If you do it again I shall shout something worthy of Father Jack at you!
a.n.other - the omelette and salad were actually quite nice, but they would NOT have been improved by having baked beans slapped in the middle of them. Bury Sainsbury cafe has improved since the old days, when Picklesdad and I had a very NON VEGGIE veggie lasagne there.
Ruby- Go on shout 'ARSE' at them, you know you want to!
BB- I think it was the grown up version I had! I guess the beans would be Sainsburys own but I can't be sure as I didn't have them BECAUSE I WAS HAVING SALAD!!!
Almost as bad as the person serving in the National Trust Cafe who almost put gravy on my fish pie!!!! STOP! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Please, NO Gravy on Fish Pie!
LOL! What are these people on... do they just stand there all day and serve beans, regardless of the plate? Beans with biscuits? Coffee? Or how about with fruit salad? Yummy. Gravy on fish pie another winner I think. Had to leave comment as found this so funny. You will probably never find it, but never mind.
I am a married, 30 something mother of 2 daughters, one at middle school and one at primary school.. We live in a village in deepest East Anglia, and have a rabbit called Bert.
I like to blog about family life in the village I live in as well as areas we visit in Suffolk...and further afield.
We are a vegetarian household.
