My latest buy on EBAY....

For the bargain price of £3.89 including postage, I have bought Pickle 4 pairs of magic mittens, from someone on Ebay, not for those cold winter days at school, but to wear in bed.

Yes, Pickle is a twiddler. A hair twiddler. She will twiddle day and night if given half a chance. About a year ago, before the night mittens, the left side of her hair was so much shorter then the right side and had bald patches in.
She twiddles the hair into such a fine, tight knot, gets her finger stuck, then......PULLS the finger out taking the knot with it.
She wears the mittens at night, as they are more effective than gloves.

Does anyone have any ideas as how I can stop Pickle twiddling? It had started to grow back, but the twiddling is returning.
She is happy during the day and seems to twiddle to relax rather than be worried about anything.

Blimey - that's some hair twiddling. Have you tried putting her hair up in a ponytail so she can't twiddle the sides? Hopefully that might help ;-D

At times there is NO side to put into a pony tail! She just does it to relax or in her sleep. Mittens working better than the gloves did!

Get her to adopt a bit of rag - or her thumb?

By the way PM, why not take of the tiresome word verification requiremeent from your blog? You have control anyway, and all the word does is fool computers.

...whoops sorry. I meant "off". And actually you don't have control (see next comment) but could have if you want.

Thanks for all that Paul!
I don't think I want her sucking her thumb instead, that may lead to tooth damage? I'll stick with the mittens for now. Still HOPING she'll grow out of it soon.
