Let's see how it goes...

I'm still not sure about this. I have seen from the comments lots of people have enjoyed reading the blog and I really appreciate all the nice comments you have left.
I understand not everyone feels the same about everything that I do and that is the way it should be, even I don't like Crocs sometimes.

However I will not apologise to ANYONE for being a full time/stay at home Mum. I enjoy bringing up my children full time and am lucky enough to be in a position where I can 'not work' outside of the home.
So if THOSE people who don't like my blog can't accept that then they can go read someone else's instead and leave mine alone.

Thanks!

PM-you are quite right. You don't have to apologise for anything. People live their lives in different ways and that is the way of the world. I would love to spend more time at home but that is just the stage in my life that I am at right now, hopefully at some point I will be able to be at home more and home cook the way I want to for the man I love. That may sound very pre-feminist to some, but I don't care. You don't do this blog for profit, so if people don't like it they should use their freedom of choice and just switch it over.

Hooray, you is back!

Talking about not liking crocs sometimes, I don't like them at the moment because I can't stop wearing them. I walked all round the Christmas Fayre this afternoon in proper shoes and my feet were killing me. Now am at home with crocs on :-S

I love your Christmas avatar :-) xx

Bury Boy asks What is an avatar ?
Is it the nice new picklesmum picture with her new boots on?

Is that what your detractors were complaining about? The more mothers are able or choose to stay at home with their children the better for society IMO. Many have previously and/or subsequently had very successful careers.

How PC is that - NOT?

Paul, It is one of a few things said. Mine is not a very modern way of thinking now, more's the pity.
BB - New boots? I don't know what you mean, I have had those old things AGES! Bet you've never heard that one before!

Yeah! Glad to see you back. I don't think you have to apologise for anything. If they don't like what you say they should leave and find other likeminded people. We all like a bit of discussion but noone likes to feel the way you've been feeling.

....is your avatar outside Marlows :)

Dear Picklesmuum, I am a mother of 2 children, ages 18 and 11. My husband and I have been married for 23 years. I had a very successful, fulfilling career in medicine before I had my first child. My husband also has a career in medicine. When my first child was born, 18 years ago, I was fortunate to be able to make the decision to stay home and raise my child. I did enjoy my previous position, but it does not compare to what I have done for myself, my children, and society in general,by staying home and raising my children. I have loved every minute, I will never regret it, and APOLOGISE FOR IT ??
NEVER !!! It is the best thing I could do for myself and my children. My children are wonderful, successful, loving and giving human beings - and I haven't missed a minute of it. I WOULD NEVER HAVE HAD IT ANY OTHER WAY.

Bloghater or something like that, was their name. Don't like it, don't read it.
They're like people who complain about tv programs, change channel !

I have 4 children and I stayed at home for 10 years until the youngest started middle school. Once they were all at school I was able to do some voluntary work and help at the youngest's school - art projects, listening to the children read, school trips etc. I considered that I was performing a service that helped the working mums. AND I thoroughly enjoyed it. Whats wrong with fulfilling the role of being a mum to the children that you produced? Frankly some people and their biased opinions amaze me - you Go Girl !!!!!
